Underground Poetry Spot is honored to spend the first five nights of Kwanzaa with Southwest Community Center. Pictured above are Kind of a one and Rae Sunshine performing on the principle of Unity. Other performers from Underground Poetry Spot this week include:
-Lanika Mabry speaking on Self-Determination “Kujichagulia”
-Simone “Symphony” Owens speaking on Collective Work and Responsibility “Ujima”
-Rae Sunshine speaking on Ujamaa “Cooperative Economics”
-A special media presentation with Tiffany Viruet speaking on Nia “Purpose”
Kwanzaa will continue into Saturday (Kuumba/Creativity) and culminate Sunday with a $10 meal (suggested donation) celebrating Imani “Faith.”
Come out and support the other performers and beautiful talents in this special culteral ceremony that reminds us to Give More Love.
